            "@value": "บทความนี้กล่าวถึงกล่าวถึง บทบาทสำคัญของสมเด็จเจ้าพระยาบรมมหาศรีสุริยวงศ์ (ช่วง บุนนาค) ในการพัฒนาท้องถิ่นแถบหัวเมืองตะวันตกของไทยช่วงรัชสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4 ถึงรัชกาลที่ 5 โดยเฉพาะผลงานเด่นด้านการ ขุดคลองภาษีเจริญและคลองดำเนินสะดวก เพื่อขยายโครงข่ายคมนาคมและกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจทางการค้า นอกจากโครงการชลประทานแล้ว ท่านยังมีส่วนสำคัญในการ ก่อสร้างพระนครคีรีและพัฒนาเมืองเพชรบุรีกับราชบุรี ให้กลายเป็นฐานอำนาจและศูนย์กลางความเจริญที่เข้มแข็งของตระกูลบุนนาค เนื้อหาในแหล่งข้อมูลยังสะท้อนถึง วิสัยทัศน์ด้านยุทธศาสตร์และการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรบุคคล เช่น การใช้แรงงานกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและการวางแผนสร้างเมืองลพบุรีเป็นราชธานีสำรองเพื่อความมั่นคงของชาติ การดำเนินงานเหล่านี้ไม่เพียงแต่สร้างความมั่งคั่งให้แก่ภูมิภาค แต่ยังเป็นรากฐานของการ วางรากฐานการปกครองและการคมนาคม ในพื้นที่ภาคตะวันตกที่สืบเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน"
